Winx posted two impressive Group 1 wins through an undefeated Spring Carnival campaign and remains clear $1.50 favourite in 2016 Apollo Stakes betting markets with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au.

Ending a strong autumn and winter preparation with a maiden Group 1 win in the Queensland Oaks (2200m), the Street Cry mare resumed in spring for success in the Group 2 Theo Marks Stakes (1300m) before taking out each of the Group 1 Epsom Handicap (1600m) and Group 1 Cox Plate (2040m).

Allocated the rails draw, regular hoop Hugh Bowman retains the ride and will be very hard to beat in the 2016 Apollo Stakes.

Solicit returned to racing for a strong second behind Our Boy Malachi in the Group 2 Expressway Stakes (1200m) and figures as sole occupant of the second line of 2016 Apollo Stakes betting at a quote of $5.50.

Posting six wins and nine minors through 27 career starts to date, Solicit resumed in spring for second in the Group 2 Tristarc Stakes (1400m) and while unable to match the late pace in the Group 1 Myer Classic (1600m), returned to the paddock after taking out the Group 3 Summoned Stakes (1500m) on November 14th.

Interestingly figuring as the only other runner currently available at 2016 Apollo Stakes odds of less-than $10, Dibayani represents exceptional value for money as $9 third-favourite.

Finishing in the minors in a number of Group 1 feature races in Hong Kong before arriving in the care of David Hayes and Tom Dabernig prior to spring, the Sharmardal gelding debuted in Australia for an impressive third in the Group 2 PB Lawrence Stakes (1400m) on August 15th.

Progressing to ninth in the Group 2 Dato’ Tan Chin Nam Stakes (1600m) on September 5th, Dibayani failed to fire in either of the Group 1 Underwood Stakes (1800m) and Group 3 David Jones Cup (2000m) and was returned to the paddock.

Dibayani has trialled particularly well in the lead-up to his competitive return and will be partnered by Tye Angland in the 2016 Apollo Stakes.
